Our take

A Go-To List of Innovators in Education

Innovation in education is important, but needs to be aligned with strategy and monitored to ensure results. With so many schools, and so many educators around the country, there is much to be learned from the experiences of others. Startup Noodle, a firm that provides educational materials to students and parents spent a year studying 140,000 schools to identify those that were the most innovative—not only based on their creative ideas, but the results those ideas generated. Their research uncovered 41 public, private and charter schools that can serve as role models for others.

Best practices abound in education and often can be unearthed in the most unlikely of places; this concerted effort to find and share best practices in K-12 schools can be a good source of inspiration for your educators. The results of this effort provides not only ideas, but contacts and resources for potential collaborations.
