The fast pace of new technology development and relatively slow pace of educators’ working to assess new technology means that they are often challenged to stay ahead of emerging tech trends. The DOE has developed a tool to aid in that assessment. Could your school system make use of the Ed Tech Rapid Cycle Evaluation Coach tool?

There are a variety of models that can be used to help educators decide how to most effectively leverage technology in their classrooms. This tool may be one option to consider. But, each district is unique and will have unique needs. School systems will need to adopt and adapt models to fit their needs. The bottom line is that it is important to think carefully about technology incorporation to ensure it is meaningful and driving desired outcomes.
