A Pearson poll, by Harris Poll, shows that 52 percent of college students own tablets; however, only about 8 percent use them every day. Laptops remain the preferred method for doing school work, with a 66 percent rate of adoption according to this study. How should these results impact your technology adoption in the classroom?

While laptops remain the preferred classroom tool for college students today, preferences may change in the future this poll suggests; 83 percent of students say they believe tablets will become more widely used in the future. It pays to keep an eye on these trends to ensure the right match between technology and practical applications.
